Alvin earned his Bachelor of Law (Honours) from the University of London in 2003 and completed his Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2004.

Following graduation, he undertook pupillage with his previous firm, where he was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 12/8/2005 and retained as a Legal. He has since worked closely with Mr. Justin Voon, now his partner.

Alvin specializes in civil and commercial litigation, with extensive experience appearing before the Subordinate Courts, the High Courts, the Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court.

His expertise extends to various dispute resolution forums, including the Adjudication proceedings under the Construction Industry Payment & Adjudication Act 2012 (“CIPAA”) and Arbitration, with a particular focus on building construction contracts and disputes.

In April 2012, Alvin co-founded the partnership firm "Messrs. Justin Voon Chooi & Wing" with Justin and Chooi Peng.
